1st Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009 - Launch of Official Mascot and Theme Song

The 1st Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009 will be unveiling its official mascot and theme song on Thursday, 19 March at Velocity! Apart from the launch ceremony, members of the public can also expect Pop-Quizzes where they stand to walk away with 100 exciting AYG and 100 Plus merchandise items! The inaugural AYG, which is co-organised by Singapore Sports Council and Ministry of Education, aims to gather the youth from around Asia in a celebration of youth, sports and learning. The nine-day sports extravaganza from 29 June to 7 July 2009 will see athletes aged between 14 and 17 from the 45 Olympic Councils of Asia member nations competing in 90 events across nine sports.
